Letter from Executive Director

I am delighted to announce that the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York (SUNY) has approved the proposed charter for Beginning with Children Charter School 2. The Board of Regents will officially vote on SUNY's recommendation at its September meeting.

BwCCS 2 will open in September 2012 with 50 students in kindergarten and 1st grade, and will ultimately enroll 450 students in grades K-8 by the school year 2019-20. With more than 3,000 students on our school waitlists, we are excited to be able to provide more students in the Brooklyn community with a path to academic achievement and success.
