Summer Internship Luncheon, August 11, 2005

The 2005 Summer Internship program came to an end with a festive luncheon.  Interns and their supervisors took time out of their busy schedules during the last week of the program and came together to recognize all the hard work the students put in throughout the summer.  The interns recounted what they'd learned through their placements, which ranged from networking skills to handling live snakes.

Annual Alumni Barbecue, August 9, 2005

Dozens of BwCCS alumni, now attending high schools all over the city and colleges all over the country, came together for this year's summer alumni barbecue.  Students had a great time catching up with one another on the BwCCS lower school playground, with music playing and hamburgers grilling in the background.

Intern sailing trip, July 30, 2005

As part of the summer internship program, 16 alumni set sail in the New York Harbor on the historic Pioneer schooner.  Teams of alumni raised the sails before setting off for an intriguing tour of the harbor, its history, and its marine life.  Through the program, students work four days a week, and on Fridays go on trips that emphasize career/college planning and group bonding.

College Tour, April 27-28, 2005

The second annual alumni college tour took 21 sophomores and juniors out of the city and into the world of college admissions.  Over the course of two days, students visited SUNY Albany, SUNY Delhi College of Technology, SUNY Oneonta, and SUNY Binghamton.  The students impressed the tour guides with their questions, and learned a great deal about how their GPA, SAT scores and extracurricular activities will be viewed by admissions officers.
